Today, I started a massive political debate in Mrs. Sanders’ class. She asked me to teach the class about the political parties in an unbiased presentation. Using a modified version of the Republican strategy of using officially unbiased words, I managed to turn at least 3 people into full-on progressives and make the others doubt their conservative dogmas. It then evolved into a debate over women’s reproductive rights.
In other news, it was a good, politically charged day.
At what age do white middle class Americans stop empathising with any demographic other than their own?
Why is the War on Drugs still alive and well, but the War on Poverty dead?

This week’s cover (on iPad today, newsstands tomorrow) features a Jan 1., 2012 photograph depicting a blood-spattered poster of Jesus. It was taken at the Coptic Christian Saints Church in Alexandria, Egypt after a bomb attack that killed at least 23 people. The attack is believed to have been carried out by the Army of Islam.

So it seems that Newspeak errr uhhh, I mean Newsweek has really abandoned any pretense of actual reporting and simply tells straight lies like Pravda. A couple dozen pages of ads and all the news their corporate sponsors think you should know including the false inflaming of tensions against the dominant theology.
I would’ve never thought, America has become the capitalist equivalent to the Soviet Union.
